02 — Our Approach

We treat every guest like the only guest.

Our kitchen runs on a short list of principles: cook with what’s in season, source from the same farms and fishermen we’ve known for years, and serve the food at the moment it tastes best.

Service follows the same logic. Our team is small on purpose — the captain who walks your venue is the same one standing at the door when your guests arrive. Hospitality, the way we were taught it, is a craft of small attentions.

How an event comes together

  1. 01

    Tell us about the event

A short conversation about your date, venue, guest count, and the kind of night you have in mind.

  2. 02

    Build the menu

A tasting at our studio. We’ll cook, you’ll edit, and we’ll arrive at a menu that fits the season and the room.

  3. 03

    Choose service & rentals

Plated, family–style, or stations. Glassware, linens, staffing ratios — selected for your venue and the way you want guests to move.

  4. 04

    The night itself

Our team arrives early, sets the room, runs service, and breaks everything down. You host. We handle the rest.

For dinners of two to fourteen guests. A multi–course tasting menu, written for your night and cooked in front of you — or quietly, behind a door, while you host.

Anniversaries, proposals, small birthdays, holiday eves, and the kind of dinners that don’t need a stage. We shop, we cook, we serve, and we clean as we go. You’ll only know we were there by what’s on the plate.

“Chef Marcus cooked an anniversary dinner in our kitchen and made us feel like the only people he’d ever cooked for. We’ll be calling again.”

07 — Practical Questions

Before you
write us.

Can’t find your question? Email hello@choiceevents.co and we’ll answer the same day.

How far in advance should we book? +

Weddings and large galas, six to nine months. Smaller events and corporate dinners, four to eight weeks. Personal chef bookings, two weeks is comfortable. Delivery orders, 48 hours.

Do you accommodate dietary restrictions? +

Always. Our menus include vegetarian, vegan, gluten–free, and nut–free options by default, and we build allergy–safe substitutions for any restriction your guests bring to the table.

Is a tasting included? +

For all event catering bookings of 50+ guests, a tasting for two is included at our studio. Smaller events can add one for a flat fee that’s credited back to the final invoice.

What areas do you serve? +

The greater Bay Area as a standard service zone. We routinely travel to Sonoma, Napa, Carmel, and Tahoe, and have catered events along the coast and out of state when the booking calls for it.

Can you coordinate rentals and staffing? +

Yes — china, glassware, linens, bar setups, and staffing ratios are all handled in–house. You’ll work with a single captain from your first call through the last bag out the door.

A Final Note

When you’re ready,
we’re ready.

Whether it’s a Wednesday lunch for the office or a wedding two years out — the inquiry takes a few minutes and we’ll write back the same day.
